Oscar Wilde (1854年—1900年) Life In 1854, Oscar Wilde was born at 21 Westland Road, Dublin. In 1874, after graduated from Trinity college in Dublin with a scholarship, Wilde entered Oxford University. There he became particularly well known for his role in the aesthetic. In 1884, Wilde married Constance Lloyd. They had two sons, Cyril (1885) and Viviane (1886). Oscar Wilde and Lord Alfred Douglas Wilde’s tomb Oscar Wilde and Lord Alfred Douglas In 1891, his meeting with Lord Alfred Douglas changed his role from a husband to a homosexual lover. After that, he suffered a dramatic downfall and was imprisoned after been convicted of “gross indecency(严重猥亵)” for homosexual acts. In 1900, Wilde died of cerebral meningitis(脑膜炎).
