Capital The capital of Canada is the city of Ottawa, which is in the province of Ontario, located above the Great Lakes. Language Canada is a multilingual society with English and French as its official languages. About 59.3% of Canadians speak English while 23.2% speak French. Most French speakers (francophone) live in Quebec where they form a majority. Currency The official currency of Canada is the Canadian dollar. It is normally abbreviated with the dollar sign $, or C$ to distinguish it from other dollar-denominated currencies. Religion Like Americans, most Canadians are Christians. The National Flag The National Flag of Canada, popularly known as the Maple Leaf. Canadas Physical Makeup Canada has clearly defined political and physical regions. Climate Canada is a very sunny land with a distinctive change of seasons.
