In this presentation, we will explain the technology behind this compressor and also show you the multiple advantages of using this compressor. This cross section shows the top part of the Digital Scroll compressor. The concept of modulation is easy and I will explain that in the next chart. The basis of the design is the Copeland compliant scroll and so all the advantages of the Copeland scroll design – efficiency, reliability and durability is there in this design. The Digital Scroll can give a capacity range from 10% to 100% - and this is the widest in the industry. It has excellent performance and needs very simple electronics to operate. As you will see later, complex designs bring reliability issues and the inherent simplicity of the Digital scroll is a great advantage.
