United Kingdom National guideline for the management of prostatitis (2008) Clinical Effectiveness Group British Association of Sexual Health and HIV Introduction and Methodology Scope and Purpose: This guideline offers recommendations on the management of acute and chronic prostatitis in the setting of genitourinary medicine clinics. It applies primarily to men aged 18 years or older presenting to health care professionals, working in departments offering level 3 care in Sexual Health (see national strategy) within the United Kingdom. However, the recommendations should prove useful in other
