There are three steps in this aigorithm . Firstiy ，muitiscaie edges of the originai images were detected . Secondiy ， these muitiscaie edges were fused to get the fusion image s muitiscaie edges according to the fusion ruie ，maxi- mizing edge correiation between the fusion image and originai images. At iast ，the fusion image was recon- structed from its muitiscaie edges. The aigorithm using oniy muitiscaie edges reduced the computation com- piexity in the fusion process. The fusion ruie enabied the fusion image to hoid as much as edge information of originai images.
