In Ch ina, mo st ESCC p atien ts diagno sed by endo scopy were at advanced stage s, wh ich lead to poor p rogno sis. It is urgen t to diagno se ESCC at its early stage. In recent years, m any endo scop ic m ethod s were develop ed, such a s narrow band im aging (NB I) , op tical coherence tomograp hy (OCT) and confocal endo scop y.
