The t heoretical foundations for understanding t he ecotones and ecological flows include cellular membrance t heory , p ercolation t heory , spiralling concept and factor analysis. Many result s of t he studies showed t he relationship s between t he ecotones and ecological flows. Hunan activities were main factor influencing changes of t he ecotones and ecological flows.
