Rulers of the Eastern Han Dynasty paid attention to the books and files, and their books and files collection was considerable scope in the early Eastern Han Dynasty, which provided the possibility of prosperity of national collection stack Lantai and Dongguan. Lantai was formerly the government agency in the Western Han Dynasty. It become the central archival repository in the Eastern Han Dynasty; Dongguan was built from the period of Emperor Ming, which not only bore the function of collection and proofreading books, but also was an important place for academic study of cataloging ancient books. They are gradually becoming the main collections of the Royal premises of the East Han Dynasty in the continuous development. This paper studies royal collection agencies Lantai and Donggugan in the characteristics of the management staff and collection species, and analyzes their influence to the book management and socio-cultural activities in the Eastern Han Dynasty and later.
