Abstract :P ract ical engineering desig n (the vertical load is m ainly considered )
and the method or com paring the steel requirement w ere adopted to ind the appro-
priate t ru ss span w ithin the com mon building storey height;T hrough comparison o
steel requirement or t ru ss under di erent colum n spacing , the appropriate column
spacing o r the staggered-truss system w as st udied,and t his provides re erence basis
or engineering design o staggered-t ru ss system.
