Abstract Solidcatalystsandthereactionspromotedbythemhavereceivedconsiderable attentionduringthepastdecades.Especially,interactionsbetweenatoms,moleculesand metalsurfaceshavebeenwidelystudied.Employingtwokindsofsemi-empirical methods-the5-MPandtheextendedLEPSpotential,weselectedafewtypicalatoms扭， O,N)andmolecules倒Z,CO),studiedtheirdynamiccharacteristicsofdissociated adsorption,diffusionontransitionmetals(Rh,Fe,Pt)andgainedgoodresults.Themain characteristicofthepresentworkisasfollows: 1. Theinteractionsbetweenatomsandmetalsurfacesaresolved勿5-MP Inthepresentwork,wemakeanassumptioncalledsurfacerfozenapproximation, takeaccountoftheorientationaffectofdelectronsoftransitionmetals,andconstructthe theoreticalmodel-5-MPBecausethismodelisasemi-empiricalmetho氏wemustemploy experimentaldatatosimulatethefiveparameters.Aslongaswecanreproduce simultaneouslytheexperimentaldataofthreelow-indexsurfacesby5-MP,thefive parameterscanthenbeusedtodealwiththeinteractionbetweenatomandstepped surfacethatisformedbylow-indexsurface.So,the5-MPisindependentonthe surface-clusterstructures.Usingthismethod,wereproducethedynamiccharacteristicsof aboveatom-surfacesystemssuchastheadsorptionsites,theadsorptiongeometry,the bindingenergyandtheeigenvibrationetc...， alsoappraisesomeunreasonable experimentaldataandpredictsomeimportantinformationthathasntbeenobserved. 2.
