Our department has treated 158 cases of acute appendicitis in children since 1980~1998 years, according to the different types and conditions, surgery or combination therapy of traditional Chinese and Western medicine, received good results, is reported as follows. 1 clinical information 158 cases were 1~5 years old, 6 cases were 6~10 years old, 82 cases were 11~14 years old, 70 cases were male, 96 cases were female and 62 cases were female. The whole group had different degrees of right lower quadrant pain. Typical abdominal pain went around the umbilicus, and there were 116 cases to the right lower abdomen for several hours to 1 days, accounting for 73.4%. All the patients in the medical examination group had the right lower abdomen fixed tenderness point, 18 cases of total abdominal tenderness and rebound pain, and 12 cases of right lower abdomen touched tenderness lump. In 142 cases, the body temperature was between 37 and 38.5 degrees centigrade, and the temperature in 16 cases was over 39 degrees, which showed irregular heat type.
