When the data acquisition system needs to collect and record large amounts of data for a long time, it is a good choice to use SD card as the storage medium, such as power detection, temperature and humidity detection, patient heart and lung data records, etc.. The FAT16 file system is. Microsofts file system in its MS-DOS operating system has excellent file management capabilities and can be identified by most operating systems today. Therefore, the combination of SD card and FAT16 file system is an ideal solution for embedded data storage and recording system. The SD card read-write system based on AT89S52 single chip microcomputer and FAT16 file system is researched and designed in this paper. 1 system program introduction The system uses AT89S52 microcontroller MCS-51 architecture. The AT89S52 is a low cost, low power, high performance CMOS 8 bit microcontroller with 8 KB in system programmable Flash memory. Using AT89S52 to read and write SD card, you must first determine the communication scheme between them. SD card has 2 optional communication protocols: SD mode and SPI mode. SD mode is the standard read and write mode of SD
