How should we face earthquakes? Now lets give you a brief introduction. Part 1 basic knowledge of earthquake Why does an earthquake occur? Earthquakes are the result of motion of the earth. In the earths movements, the earths crust is constantly changing. The movements of the earth gradually accumulate huge amounts of energy and exert a very strong force on underground rocks. When rocks fail to withstand this force, sudden rupture and dislocation occur. Rocks break up to produce seismic waves, and earthquakes wave to the surface, and then the ground vibrates. Thats the earthquake. What kinds of earthquakes occur? There are three main types of natural earthquakes: volcanic earthquake, falling earthquake and tectonic earthquake. Volcanic earthquakes are ground vibrations caused by volcanic eruptions that cause magma to impact the earths surface. Volcanic earthquakes are relatively small in scope and cause relatively little damage. The collapse earthquake is the ground vibration caused by formation collapse. For example, underground limestone, cave collapse, or the collapse of mined out areas can cause small scale ground vibrations. Such earthquakes generally do not destroy much. What we call earthquakes is called tectonic earthquakes. Tectonic earthquakes are caused by faulting and fracturing of rock formations deep in the earth. These earthquakes account for more than 90% of the global earthquake, and the intensity of vibration is so large that the threat to human beings is the greatest. Earthquakes are of magnitude. The magnitude of an earthquake is indicated by magnitude. The stronger t
