bstract: In the process of synthesis ofwaterborne polyurethane prepolymer modified w ith epoxy resin
and chain- extension, the existed epoxy groupsw ill consume part ofNCO and am ine chain extenders, cau
sing mi pact on formulation design ofwaterborne polyurethane and poor reproducibility. Thus the prmi ary a
m ine group inKH550 firstopen the epoxy ring, and thenmodified thewaterborne polyurethane as a big chain
extender, whichw illthen successfully form a stablewaterbornepolyurethane emulsion. The structure ofWPU
is analyzed by FT- IR and contact anglem eter. The results show thatKH550 have successfully opened the
epoxy ring andWPU s contactangle have increased greatly by prepolymermodifiedw ith the functionalmate
rial( silicone).
