The mintmark can be found on the reverse of the coin under the words FIVE CENTS. The rarest Buffalo Nickel is the 1918/7-D overdate. Also scarce is the famous 1937D three legged variety. This variety was struck with a faulty die that removed the buffalos front leg. Other hard to find dates include the Type 2 1913D and the Type 2 1913S. Very common dates (except for a few varieties) are the Buffalo Nickels minted from 1932 to 1938. For reasons that are not en
