Thus it enables to reach better and more homogeneous mechanical properties of a strip, particularly in micro alloyed steels. ERT can be maintained constant on the whole strip length, even when transfer bar temperature oscillates due to skid marks in slab or other reasons. Very important is the possibility to increase the mill production so that it enables to roll at higher speed or speed up.
