TRACON Pharmaceuticals  Job Description                                                                Job Title:  Senior Accountant  Department:  Finance and Accounting  Reports To:  Director, Controller   Location:  San Diego, California  Date:   August 25, 2015    Who We Are    TRACON Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is a clinical stage biopharmaceutical company focused on the  development and commercialization of novel targeted therapeutics for cancer, age‐related macular  degeneration, or AMD, and fibrotic diseases.  We are a leader in the field of endoglin biology and are  using our expertise to develop antibodies that bind to the endoglin receptor.  Our lead product  candidate, TRC105, is in Phase 2 clinical trials and is an anti‐endoglin antibody that is being developed  for the treatment of multiple solid tumor types in combination with inhibitors of the vascular  endothelial growth factor, or VEGF, pathway.  More information about TRACON can be found at  .    The Opportunity    TRACON is seeking an experienced professional who will join our small Finance and Accounting team.   The primary responsibilities will include Accounts Payable, reconciling balance sheet accounts, preparing  journal entries, preparing various tax returns, and assisting with the quarter‐end and annual close.  This  position will interact with all other team members internally and with outside auditors and SOX  consultants.    Job Responsibilities    General Accounting and Finance Responsibilities:   Responsible for all aspects of Accounts Payable.   Prepare monthly general ledger account reconciliations.   Prepare monthly journal entries to close the monthly accounting records, analyzes GL and  investigates and corrects any discrepancies.   Hold discussions with people outside of finance to ensure understanding and
