The New Noniterative Solution to the Geodetic Problem

Abstract: This paper introduces new symbol system in solut ion of geodetic problem, the purpose of the paper is to
make t he expression conformable to the customs in geodesy and easy to be calculated. Then, the paper discusses the
direct and inverse solution to the geodetic problem. With the help of the computer algebra system Mat hemat ica, the
paper derives the more accurate formulas for the direct geodetic problem, and gets the noniterative formulas for the
inverse geodetic problem, w hich are more concise and simple than the previous ones. T he investigation in the paper
improves and enriches the know ledge on the problem computation. The numerical computation is attached to check
t he accuracy of the derived formulas.
