Research on Extending Mining Area of a Red-soil Type Bauxite Mine

Abstract:The originally-designed mining area of Natang field of a certain red-soil type bau ite mine has a service life of 14
years.With decreasing of ore reserves and increasing of output, its actual service life is only 9.35 years.To e tending its
washerys service life, its urgent task is to e tend its mining area.According to its optimum model, the mine decided to
choose Bulu and Guan areas as its succeeding mining areas.The rationality of e tending its mining areas is analysed economi-
cally and technically.
