The present report and analysis of 43 cases of pleural mesothelioma confirmed by our hospital from 1974 to 1999 were analyzed to further improve the diagnostic level of pleural mesothelioma. 1 data and methods Choose 1.1 cases from 1974 to 1999 in the hospital 43 cases of pleural mesothelioma patients were confirmed by pathology, 24 cases of men and women in 19 cases, aged 6 ~ 72 years old, average 40.6 years old, no record of the history of asbestos exposure. 1.2 clinical symptoms of 43 patients with pleural mesothelioma were mainly chest pain, followed by cough and shortness of breath, as shown in table 1. There were 4 cases of irregular nodular pleural thickening (9.3%), 10 cases of pleural effusion (23.3%), 3 cases (7.0%), 2 cases of pleural calcification (4.7%), and 1 case of pleural fibrous plaque. The right side (21 cases) was more than the left (19 cases) and bilateral lesions were 3 cases. In 8 cases, benign fibrillar pleural mesothelioma showed pleural single nodules. 1.4 shown on CT chest CT scans are often irregular thickening of pleura lung tissue, and can extend to crack between leaf, but only 10 cases
