Phosphating (VI) - quality control and detection methods
After the phosphating of the workpiece, according to its use, the quality of its indicators were sub test. The main quality control indexes, including phosphating film appearance, phosphating film thickness or film weight, phosphating film or after treatment of corrosion resistance of the three common indicators. According to the use of phosphating, and sometimes to detect: phosphating and paint matching, phosphating film hardness, friction coefficient, resistance to abrasion and other indicators. Three general indexes of phosphating can be referred to the following standards and methods.
Phosphating film appearance: adopt visual inspection method, relevant standard GB 11376-89, metal phosphate conversion film and GB 6807-86 iron and steel workpiece before coating phosphating treatment technical conditions.
The phosphating film thickness or film: film thickness measurement by using GB 6462 metal oxide layer thickness of cross section measuring microscope, also can use the thickness gauge, according to GB 4956 non magnetic metal magnetic cover method measurement of magnetic layer thickness or GB 4957 non magnetic metal non conductive coating measurement the eddy current method. Film weight measurement adopts weight method, according to GB 6807 iron and steel work before painting phosphating treatment technology condition or GB 9792 metal material conversion film, per unit area of film quality determination.
Corrosion resistance: the corrosion resistance of the phosphating film itself can be measured by using copper sulfate dropping method, sodium chloride immersion method and salt spray test method. Drip method and brine immersion method can be according to GB 6807-86 iron and steel parts before painting phosphating treatment technical conditions, phosphating film after treatment, such as oil, wax coating, paint after general salt spray test.
