The Technological Center of Jicnan Iron and Steel Corporation, Jicnan 250101, Shandong, China) Abstract: A mathemat ical model of controlled cooling of plate is introduced, including models of heat transfer during air cooling and w ater cooling . Temperature distribut ion along the thickness and width of plate is calculated with fi- nite difference method. The t em perat ure predicted by this mathematical model is accurate as confirmed by online measured temperature. Both the shape and the mechanical propert ies of t he plate cooled with the model set regime sat isfy the requirements.
