The results i dicated that the le gth of ND2 ge e of Eriocheirjaponica was 1009 bp. The A, T , G, C co te ts of the ge e were 28. 54% ( 288 bp) , 44. 20% ( 446 bp) , 8. 23% ( 83 bp) , a d 19.03% ( 192 bp) respectively ; a d the seque ce was AT rich a d biased. The start a d stop codo s were ATC a d A respectively. The homology a alysis of ucleotide seque ce showed that the similarities i ND2 ge e betwee Eriocheirjaponica a d other crustacea were comparatively low, which suggested that ND2 ge e could be effective molecular marker for further study o phyloge y of Eriocheir species.
