T he operation of pr oj ects, pricing system, policies are the influential factors, and joint allocation of inter-basin diverted w ater and local w ater ar e key issues to be taken into account to g et better solutions. The current situation of methodologies, mechanism of management and conception on allocation of inter-basin diverted w ater is review ed in this paper. T he relevant necessary technical issues for w ater allocation are pr esented and analyzed and the prospect in this field is pointed out.
