Be ij ing S ix th H osp ital ( 100007) Abstract Objective T o observe the biomechanical e ectiveness and clinical therapeutic e ect o the im proved pinning method and external ixator in lever t ype on the treatment o intertr ochanteric racture o the emur . ethods ( 1) T hree types o intertrochanteric ractures, made o n 12 arti icial models o emur ( Saw bo me) , w ere div ided into 4 gr oups based upon the type o racture and ix ed w ith cr osspins, trusspins, sca oldpins and par allelpins, respectively. And then the biomechanical parameters o them w ere measur ed and the obt ained data w er e treated stastically. ( 2) I ntertrochanteric ractures in 159 patients w ere ixed, based upon their type, w ith t he improv ed pinning method and external ix ator or 10 w eeks in average. Re sults ( 1) T he ractures o 12 models w ere ixed more stably during longitudinal loading ; the rig idity o the racture models ix ed w ith the tru sspins w as increased during bot h longitudinal and l
