Research progress in embryonic development of Litchi

Abstract: T he recent advances of the research on embryonic development of Litchi w ere review ed as follow four
aspects: the process of embryo and endosperm development of Litchi, the relationship betw een the grow th harmony
of embryo and endosperm w ith the rate of fruit set the influence of endogenous hormone variation and ectogenous,
grow th regulators on Litchi embryonic development the relationship between grow th regulators and embryonic,
development of parthenocarpy Litchi types. From above, the relationship betw een different Litchi varieties and the
mechanism of embryonic development were suggested. Some suggestions for the future research direction were
made.
