A harmonics control method for cascade multilevel inverter applicable to high frequency field was studied in this paper. In order to eliminate lower order harmonic in the multilevel inverter with equal or unequal DC source, the range of switching angles and fundamental voltage amplitude were given. According to the relationship between output harmonic distortion ratio and fundamental voltage amplitude, the method of selecting module source ratio was presented. Simulation and experimental results verify the validity of the research work.
