It is applied to every aspect of communication. Due to the great differences between Chinese and western cultures, successful communication has became more and more difficult and essential. In order to comprehend the usage and the condition of application, especially in different cultural atmosphere, this paper attempts to conduct the research on sorting comparison of appellation between china and western countries and tries to seek for the factors and differences of each culture, and then put forward some new ideas on this subject. The cultural respect has been playing a great role in contact of different people from different cultural groups. 1. 2 Significance of the research The significance of the research is divided into two parts, including practical significance and academic significance. What the practical significance means is that we can conduct a series of trans-cultural activities through going in quest of the cultural factor involved in conversation.
