She visited America 3 times because she hoped American would help China rebuild. On February 18, 1943, Song May-ling became the first Chinese national and the second woman to address both houses of the US Congress. The reason May-ling was so different from another Chinese woman, and a lot of Americans loved her because she was very smart. She was good at English and it was a useful way to let her be close with Americans. And her way for thinking was similar with American thinking because of her education.
