Television is not only a source of information, but also a means of entertainment. (a) I’m in favor of equal rights for women, especially the right to compete with men for jobs on equal terms, the right to get the same pay as men for the same job, and the right to equal opportunities for promotions.;3) (b) I’m in favor of equal rights for women. I think women should compete with men for jobs on equal terms. They should get the same pay as men for the same job. They also should have equal opportunities for promotions. 可见，复合句可以把两个或几个平行、对立相关的意思联系起来，构成一个较完整的思想，因而比孤立的简单句的思想丰富得多，逻辑关系也清楚得多。(b)则呆板、单调、缺乏生机。;B. 复杂句(Complex Sentences)：一个主句和一个或一个以上从句构成，表示条件、原因、程度等各种复杂的关系。如： (1) Morning exercise, if taken regularly, may reduce your chance of getting a disease.
