The four years in my life has its influence on me that cannot be ignored. Despite the fact that an MA‟s degree does not necessarily guarantee a better job than what one can nail down with their BA‟s degree, I insist that my four years in the IC program is significant for becoming an integrated person. I have got the opportunity to see a wider world, both physically and academically. My interests in intercultural communication have started ever since my first glance at a book on IC in the attic of a book shop in Guangzhou by accident several years ago. As an interdisciplinary study, IC can be so encompassing that as an IC student I have been introduced to social sciences such as anthropology and sociology as we
