M ethods:Twentyfive casesw ith extre ity fracture caused by benign tu orwere retrospective ly analyzed in the study. bone cyst, fibrous dysplasia, eosinophilic granulo a, aneurys al bone cyst, enchondro a, nonossifying fibro a and ossifying fibro awere 11, 5, 3, 2, 2, 1 respectively13 caseswere treatedwith ex ternal fixation in stage ∀ and with bone transplantation ( after tu or resection) in stage #. A ll the treat ent ( tu or resection, bone transplantation and internal fixation) were co pleted in the stage ∀ in 12 cases. Re sults: A ll the patientswere followed up fro 12 to 88 onths and infection occurred in 1 case, local tu or re currence in 3 and refracture in 2 after operation. Conclusion: External fixation in stage ∀ and bone transplanta tion ( after tu or resection) in stage # is the first selection for preceding fractures.
