Abstract: s theXLPE power cables areusedw idely in power system, w ithstanding voltage test is
more and more mi portant for the reliable operation of the cable. By analyzing all kinds of
w ithstanding voltagemethods, oscillatingwave test system is very suitable for cable to do field test.
Thewhole circuit of oscillatingwave test system is introduced and smi ulated to analyze the feasibility
of circuit. The results of analysis show thata good oscillatingwave can be generated on the cable by
the circuit, and parameters of oscillatingwave are consistentw ith demand.
