Cost, spend, and take all represent costs. The difference is as follows:
1, from the subject used to see:
The subject of cost is usually a thing or thing (including a form subject, it); it cannot be a person; the subject of spend can only be human; it cannot be a thing or thing; the subject of take can be a thing or thing (including a form subject, it), or a person. Such as:

Note: if cost does not mean cost, but objectively or passively, then it can be used as the subject. Such as:

2, from the object of view:
The object of cost is usually money. The object of take is usually time, and the object of spend can be time or money. Such as:
