The air seemed to burn and the trees alongside the street lost its spirit. In order to get rid of the unbearable weather, my friend and I went to a restaurant where air-conditioning was available, no doubt it was quite a nice place for us to eat lunch. When we were enjoying our meals with soft drink and gentle music, there came an old man from the front door[wfj2], and the waiters were too busy to notice him[zdr3]. Wearing a faded, shabby T-shirt, if it can be called as T-shirt, he looked exhausted. With sweat fallen down[zdr4] his gaunt cheek, he looked around as if he wanted to seek something. He draw my attention simply because he finally came to the[zdr5] next to mine, sat down and began to eat the food remained on the table. He was so hungry that he could even eat a horse,[zdr6] I hadnt seen anyone who ate his meal like this, at least in such a comfortable restaurant which was suitable for enjoy your lunch time. What surprised me was that when he finished eating his meal, the old man walked to my table and asked if he could eat my remaining food. I was definitely shocked and do him a favor by providing him[zdr7] a bowl of rice and a cup of Coca-Cola. After he ate up all things, there was a smile emerged on his face, he expressed his appreciation and gratitude to me. But I was somewhat curious and asked him where is your son? Where are you families? He shook his head slightly and said he was an elderly person without family, not to mention having a son to provide for him.
