Research and simulation of heat transfer for heat pipe chip radiator
based on electro-thermal simulation method

Abstract: The analysis on all thermal resistances in a sort of chip radiator w ith heat pipe is made throu h t he method of elec-
t ro-thermal simulation. The electric heat transfer model is established of t he heat pipe chip radiator under forced air cooled con-
dition, and t he formula of its tot al heat-t ransfer ability is w orked out. Then, a certain kind of desi ned instance is simulated by
ICEPAK softw are, and the simulated result corresponds to t he theoretical comput ational result basically , and so the validit y of
the elect ric heat transfer model is verified.
