Echidna澳洲动物介绍

* * The Echidna is a small creature, which has a furry underside with sharp spines on its back. Echidnas catch insects to eat. They grow to about 45cm. As a form of protection they quickly bury themselves in the ground, with only their spines sticking out of the ground. Description Echidnas live in the dry and hot desertland of Australia, as well as within the cooler climate of the Australian Alps. Habital Echidnas need bushland to live in. Echidnas can swim. They dont like the heat. Food The echidna has a long snout. Its very ensitive to touch and it can feel vibrations. It also has a very good sense of smell.When the echidna mells food like ants or termites it ses the claws on its feet to dig out its dinner.It sends its long sticky tongue into the nest and flicks it around. The insects stick to the tongue and are then drawn into its tiny little mouth. * *
