MethodFour rounds of RT-PCR were performed according to the property of segment-specific reverted repeat termini sequences reported. Sequences were analyzed by bio-software. ResultThe full-length cDNA of S6 was 1 651 bp with 39.13% G+C content, containing a single open reading frame (ORF) that extends 1 473 nucleotides from nucleotide 25. The single ORF encoded a putative 53.3 kD polypeptide, named Psn6, containing 490 amino acids.Conclusion RGDV Psn6 exhibited 31.7% amino acid sequence identity to P7 of Rice dwarf virus (RDV), and 30.0% to P7 of Wound tumor virus (WTV). This is the first report of the complete sequence of RGDV S6.
