It discusses the development process of acanthus foliage vortex lines, beginning from perspective of historical materialism and pattern design principles analysis, researches acanthus foliage vortex lineslan- guage expression, pattern type, variation method and Chinese characteristics in modern Tianjin small western-style villa’s design. Canthus foliage vortex lines is the most international decorative language, fusing multi-ethnic culture. Its the crystallization of all mankinds wisdom, and has a huge system.
