Monitor- ing sites were located in nine cities, they were Taiyuan, Datong, Changzhi, Yuci, Linfen, Luliang, Yizhou, + 2+ 2+ + + 4+ 2- Yangquan and Yuncheng. Monitoring items were H , conductivity, Ca , Mg , K , Na , NH , SO4 , - - 2- - - NO3 , Cl , CO3 , HCO3 and F . Result indicated that each cities have acid rain except Luliang and Yizhou, but the frequency was low, was average 3. 3% . The acid degree was also low. Acid rain was typical sulfuric acid type, the ratio of sulfuric acid and nitric acid was high than the national average.
