Abstract: The spread of shakespeareanism in China has indicated that Shakesp eare has been one of the most influential foreign writers in
China in the 20th century. In China, people h as m ade painstaking efforts to spread the Shakespeareanism and created their ow n ideas in the
study of Shakespeare and in the perf ormance of his plays. The Marxian Sh akespeareanism in Soviet Union has m ade great influence in China,
and h as aroused the Chinese Shakespeareans∀ reflection.
