Methods T he randomized controlled trials ( RCTs) comparing the therapy of meropenem and imipen- em in Chinese population w ith moderate or severe pulmonary infection w ere collected betw een 19 83 and 2 00 9 from the PubMed and CNKI databases. T he methodological quality of trials w as assessed by Jadad-scale. The heterogeneity w as examined by u- sing Revman5. 0 and Stata10. 0 softw are. Fixed effect model or random effect model was used to pool the data. The ggercs test and Beggcs test w ere used to evaluate the publication bias.
