And at the same time, he witnessed the dramatic changes occurred in the American society. The movie reflected many significant events happened in America in the 1960s and 1970s, and the most typical and influential one is the African-American Civil Rights Movement. The focus of this essay is to discuss the peak period of the African Americansrsquo; Civil Rights Movement in the 1960s, presenting the background, main procedures, influential figures and its great impacts, which deepens the understanding of the historical period and the civil rights movement in the United States.
