Based on the practical experiences, the calcu- lation formulas based on definition of water environmental capacity and on the one- dimen- sional model have been modified. The example calculation result used modified formula shows that the result of environmental capacity has good coincidence with the predicted re- sult of pollution. The principle selected relating parameter of calculation formula and modi- fied formula can provide the guidance for the calculation of water environment capacity in the north region.
