31 7 2015 7 Ecological Economy , Vol. 31, No. 7 (July 2015) 266520 AQI A X821 F062.2 A 1671-4407(2015)07-065-05 Study on the Relations between Regional Environment Capacity, Industrial Structure and Economic Development Quality: Taking Jinan and Qingdao of Shandong Province as an Example XING Xiufeng (School of Economy and Trade, Qingdao Technological University, Qingdao Shandong 266520, China) Abstract: Taking cities of Jinan and Qingdao of Shandong Province as an example, the paper first analyzes the relations between regional environment carrying capacity, industrial structure and economic development quality; then computes regional ambient environment capacity, regional environment carrying capacity, environmental pressure and ecological deficits by methods of A-value and ecological footprints, and gains some convincing conclusions: at present and in the future, there is a negative relationship between regional economic growth and environmental quality; current industrial structure of Shandong Province is in the industry order of “ ” Second, Third, First . Finally, proposals like improving the ratio of service industry; restructuring first and second industries of regional economy, including inner structures of each industry; improving investment on environmental protection are given on the above basis.
