Chen et al. described the implementation of an IFC-based information server for web-enabled collaborative building design between the architect and structural engineer. The Java 2 Platform, Enterprise Edition (J2EE) standard, Web, and XML technologies were used to build the design information server. The IFCs were adopted as the information model to facilitate the interoperability among multidisciplinary AEC software applications.;协同工程项目管理(CCPM);During the period of 2000–2005, the ITs adopted to support CCPM mainly focus on single-computer based development methods and tools, such as UML, object-oriented modeling; distributed modeling and mobile communication technologies are investigated at an early stage. With the advancement of network technology and ITs, many web-based distributed application systems are developed during the period of 2005–2009.
