The interference level can be characterized by the ratio of the received signal power, S , to the clutter power, C . This signal-to-clutter ratio, S/C, depends on the target RCS, the amount of clutter illuminated, the clutter reflectivity and the effect of any clutter reduction techniques (Table 4.1).
