In this book chapter are developed the rotor- flux-oriented for torque and flux control of the squirrel cage induction generator (SCIG), and the grid-voltage-oriented for DC bus voltage and reactive power control of the grid using a LCL filter. Both the currents controllers for the generator and for the grid are implemented using proportional-integral (PI) current controllers in the d-q frame. In order to determine the stator currents references, the errors signal of torque and rotor flux are regulated by PI controllers with respect to the generator. On grid side converter the errors signal of DC bus voltage and reactive power are also regulated by means of PI controllers. The design of LCL filter is also presented.
