64 cases of old stones Analysis of surgical treatment of acute cholecystitis [Abstract] Objective To investigate the old stones of the clinical features of acute cholecystitis, the timing of surgery and surgery. Methods Retrospective analysis was made on 64 patients who more than 65 years old with acute calculous cholecystitis operative treated hetween 1998 and 2001. Results 41 cases (64%) had different kinds of Concomitant diseases, 12cases (18.8%) suffered gangrenous cholecystitis; surgical complications were occurred in 8cases (12.5%). The patient withthe time from onset of the disease to operation over 72hours had more surgical compications the ones with less 72 hours. conclusion For the elder with acute calculous cholecystitis, immediate operation proper surgical procedures and periopenative treatment are necessary.
