[Keywords] chronic obstructive pulmonary disease care Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD is a common disease in the elderly in China, most caused due to smoking, environmental and occupational factors such as dust, chemicals and air pollution can trigger, longer duration, to increase, currently there is no cure, only clinical remission. now nearly 2 years admitted to our hospital 100 cases COPD nursing summarized as follows: 1 General Information The male patients were 78 cases, 22 females, aged 68 cases ,60-69 ,70-79 years in 19 cases,gt; 80 years 13 cases, all cases were consistent with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease diagnostic criteria [1] in which respiratory failure 27 cases of spontaneous pneumothorax in 21 cases, 71 cases of chronic pulmonary heart disease, the average annual frequency of 2 to 3 times hospitalized, was hospitalized on 20 ~ 50d, 4 patients were discharged home death. 2 Clinical Care 2.1 Psychological Care In elderly patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease patients show a distinctive feature of weak constitution, generally poor living skills, defense dysfunction, easily induced by repeated respiratory tract infections, the majority of the poor efficacy of repeated treatment, a small daily variability of symptoms, lung function ultimately was irreversible deterioration of the psychological burden of patients, a strong dependence in their daily lives and therefore should pay attention to the care with patients an
